On Wednesday 30th September, the IJCC held an online event "What We Were. And What We Became. A Conversation with Former JET Programme Participants".
Moderated by IJCC Director Pat Ryan, we welcome 6 speakers: Sam Annesley - Executive Director of Greenpeace Japan, Sarah Hickey - Marketing Manager of Whisk-e Ltd., Joe Moore - Market Manager of Japan and Korea at Bord Bia, Ray Meenan - Senior Manager of Equity Derivatives Japan at GFI Group, Eoin Flavin - Third Secretary, of Embassy of Ireland, Tokyo, John Blakeney - Manager of Capital Markets at EY Japan. In the presentation, the speakers shared their unique and valuable experiences on the JET Program and talked about how those experiences have impacted their career in Japan. During the Q&A session, participants heard advice on topics such as career planning in Japan, life after JET, language study and cultural differences in the Japanese workplace.
