Congratulations to the Winners of the 2016 IJCC Ireland Japan Business Awards

Irish Technology and company anniversaries underpinned celebrations at the IJCC Ireland Japan Business Awards.

On 25th November on the 51st floor of Roppongi Hills Club and overlooking the magnificent Tokyo skyline the IJCC celebrated another year of Ireland Japan business success during their 7th annual business awards.

In attendance with the President of the IJCC, Gerard Mulligan, we were delighted to have Her Excellency Mrs Anne Barrington, Ambassador of Ireland to Japan and Patron of the IJCC. We were also joined by IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and our Platinum Partners, Diageo and Toyoko Inn.

There were 4 companies being recognized this year. Two companies for their long service and years of contribution to Ireland Japan business relations. And a further two Irish companies for their introduction of leading-edge technology to the Japan market.

Commenting on the awardees, the IJCC President Gerard Mulligan said – “On the biggest night in the calendar for Ireland Japan business relations the chamber was delighted to recognize such deserving examples of leading-edge Irish technology and management experience.”

In our largest attended event to date, guests enjoyed traditional Irish music from “The Lady Chieftains” supported by “Akio Noguchi” on the Uilleann Pipes while participants were being treated to a unique cocktail that was designed especially for the occasion called "A Ginza Waters".

After the awards presentation and entertainment, the evening culminated with a gala raffle with many guests winning interesting prizes to take home with them. The main prize, courtesy of our Corporate Member, British Airways was a return business class ticket for 2 to Dublin!!

We look forward to 2017 in what will be a key year for Ireland Japan relations with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. And we hope to see you at our Business Awards dinner in November.
