Hi everyone! 

My name is Claudia, and I am a final year World Languages student studying at University College Cork, Ireland. Some of my areas of study include Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Translation. My interest in Japan grew from my Leaving Cert Japanese classes where I was able to go from a complete Japanese beginner to being able to have a full conversation in Japanese. 

I was very fortunate to have been able to spend last year studying abroad at TUFS (Tokyo University of Foreign Studies), where I learnt a lot about Japanese culture and language. During my time at TUFS I joined the Brazilian Research Circle (ブラジル研究会) where I made many friends and learnt how to play various samba instruments. Even now I look back fondly at my year abroad and hope to someday return and live there again. 

I am very grateful to the IJCC for giving me the chance to work with their wonderful team and strengthen Irish Japanese relations. I hope to bring a fresh, new perspective and strive to improve my skills as a social media intern.

私は、コーク大学のクローディアと申します。日本語や韓国語、スペイン語、翻訳研究などを専攻しております。日本語のリービングサートのコースをきっかけに、日本の文化にとても興味を持つようになりました。全くの初心者から、流暢に会話ができるようになりました。 

去年、東京外国語大学の留学生として日本の文化と日本語に関する多くのことを学びました。留学生活の間、ブラジル研究会というサークルに参加し、様々なブラジルの楽器について学びました。その経験は今でも鮮明に記憶に残っています。
