On Wednesday 7th October, the IJCC held an online event titled "Tales From the Regions - Fukuroi, Shizuoka".

Moderated by IJCC director Pat Ryan, Mr Hideyuki Harada, the Mayor of Fukuroi city and Mr Paul Kavanagh, the Irish Ambassador to Japan updated us on the growing relations between Ireland & Fukuroi. After their remarks, Ms Rachel Meehan, a Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) at Fukuroi city, Shizuoka gave us an informative presentation about Fukuroi city’s industries and the region's Irish connections.
