Life After JET – A Conversation with Irish JET Programme Alumni

Are you interested in learning more about the JET programme and post-JET career paths and opportunities ?

Join us for an exclusive webinar on Thursday April 25th 19:00 - 21:00 Japan time | 11:00 - 13:00 Irish time, focusing on the challenges of choosing a career path post-JET.

We will invite 7 Irish JET Alumni working in a variety of fields, and at various stages in their careers, to share their stories and take questions from our audience. This will be followed by an informal networking event using randomised breakout rooms, providing a chance for all participants at the event to meet each other and the IJCC community.

Points to be discussed by our speakers include: ⁃ JET experience overview ⁃ Transition from JET into another career ⁃ How being on the JET Programme helped ⁃ Advice for those transitioning careers

What is the JET Programme

Founded in 1987 and sponsored by the Japanese government, the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme invites young people to work in schools, boards of education, and government offices throughout Japan. JET participants gain hands-on experience working in close relations with local communities and residents through schools and municipal bodies in Japan. Since 1987, more than 77,000 people from 77 countries have participated in JET. There are currently 5,831 participants including 112 from Ireland. See here for more information.

We encourage any companies with open positions or job opportunities to attend and engage with the future leaders in Japan-Ireland relations and business. Alternatively, please contact us and we can discuss the options to communicate any job openings at the event.
