A Brief Introduction to the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement

Dear Corporate and Professional members,

The Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce is delighted to arrange a seminar with the support of the European Business Council to provide our members a unique introduction to the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement’ on 30 January 2019.
The EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) will enter into force on 1 February 2019, after four years of negotiations. Together the two economies make up for 30% of the world's GDP. 

Bjorn Kongstad of the European Business Council will give an overview presentation of the agreement. The intention is to provide our members the background context to the agreement to allow us start our preparations and considerations in advance.  
 
Bjorn will cover number topics at a high level including elimination of tariffs, rules of origin, public procurement, GI etc.
