
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the IJCC will take place on Wednesday, 21 April, from 18.30 - 19.30. The meeting, which will be followed by a buffet reception for Members, will be hosted by Chamber President Seiji Kasama at the headquarters of his company, Dimplex Japan in Nihombashi.
The meeting will be addressed by Chamber's Patron, H.E. Mr. Brendan Scannell, the Ambassador of Ireland to Japan.
The Agenda for the meeting will be as follows:
- Report from the Chamber President
- Financial report for FY 2009
- Business Plan and Programme of events for FY 2010
- Election of up to six members of the Board of Directors.
Election to the Board
At the AGM, Members will elect a new Board of Directors to serve for a two-year term. The AGM will also elect a new Auditor for the same period. Nominations are now open for candidates for election to six places on the Board of Directors for the two-year term until April 2012. Corporate and Professional members are eligible to stand and a candidate may be nominated by another member or may nominate him/herself using the attached form.
The deadline for nominations is Thursday, 1 April 2010. Interested candidates are asked to complete the attached form in English or in Japanese and to return it to secretariat@ijcc.jp before this date.
An invitation and a map to the venue will be sent to Members by post in early April. Moreover, a copy of the final agenda, as well as a list of candidates for election will be circulated to Members nearer the time.
