Mandate

The Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce is mandated by its members, through its Articles of Association, to:

  1. Represent and express various opinions of the Ireland-Japan business community regarding trade, commerce and finance and related matters;
  2. Organise events of interest to its members which seek to further the objectives of the Chamber;
  3. Associate and cooperate with other organisations – Irish, Japanese and other – which share mutual interests;
  4. Promote friendship and understanding between Ireland and Japan;
  5. Provide a base for information and contacts to Japanese companies and individuals interested in business with Irish companies or individuals;
  6. Provide a base for information and contacts to Irish companies and individuals interested in business with Japanese companies or individuals;
  7. Engage in such other activities as may be deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.
     

The Chamber carries out its mandate in a variety of ways, including:

  • Holding speaker events, seminars and networking evenings in Tokyo and elsewhere
  • Providing relevant and timely information through our email updates
  • Providing a forum to raise issues of concern to the Japan-Ireland business community
